Kelly and I met at work. Then we became friends. When she told another coworker friend and I that she was expecting, we were ecstatic. Knowing how much I love photography and how much Kelly and her husband wanted maternity pictures, we decided to collaborate a session. It was like the blind leading the blind. And we loved it. So with a lot of excitement, I am happy to say I have a new tag on my blog. Maternity.

Thanks again, Kelly and Doug! Letting me be a part of this really means so much to me. I hope you enjoy your pictures.

As you can see, it was a very colorful session, despite it still being a little drab until Spring. Also, almost all of my pictures from this session were taken with my new 50mm lens and I absolutely adore it. One last reason to thank Doug and Kelly for being my guinea pigs.

  1. ooohh pam, i love these pictures! the pops of color are fun, and i've never seen a preggo couple include
ultrasound photos in the maternity shoot, very cool. that first one against the red wall with the focus on her belly is beautiful.

  3. YEAH!!! You seriously ROCK! You are talented beyond words. Not to mention you made this pregnant woman look good! You will never in a million years know how much this meant to Doug and me. You have given us memories from one of the single most amazing times in our lives and for that we are forever grateful. I heart you : )

  7. I love all the color. It seems like red is bit tricky. I feel like it might be blown out a little too much, especially in the one with them sitting on the steps. That's totally just me though - and you know how I love saturation!

Seriously, Pamster, you are blowing my mind with how good of an eye you have. The angles are so great, and her hair looks so fantastic in all the shots. You are awesome.

  8. I love the red, the crisper the better to me. And is this from your 1.8 50mm or did you get another nifty fifty, too?

  10. thanks ladies! your encouragement and comments mean a lot to me.

Julia- i used my 1.8 but i would have loved to splurge on the 1.4 and someday even the 1.2. i'd like to upgrade in the next couple of years and even add a 20mm, 85mm and a macro to my arsenal. photography is a very expensive hobby. :)

angie- absolutely! i'd be flattered and honored.
