A couple of my friends and I went to a park and I brought my camera. I think they thought it was a little awkward at first but they got more comfortable after a few minutes. I really like this shot of Tricia. This is her through and through- no nonsense, natural beauty.

As you can probably tell, I'm usually not one to desaturate color from a photo. I adore black and whites when they're put in front of me but I rarely have the heart to deliberately remove all color but it's winter and everything is pretty colorless right now so it was easier to play around. The photo on the left is a pretty typical black and white. On the right, I added a filter for a little more umphf and it actually added a little color back in. It's minor but the adjustment almost looks like a light sepia... My husband likes the right version better. I guess the opinion that matters the most is the one of my subjects and how they'd like to see themselves. Which one would you prefer?

On an unrelated side note, I think it's time for a new banner...

  1. Beautiful! :)

I like them both but I think I like the one on the right the best, mainly because it doesn't wash out her face as much. :)

  2. I tend to prefer B&W, but I actually like the way the right one takes on the sepia tones ever so slightly. It's a nice end effect. Very nice shot!

  3. I'm going for the one on the right for the same reasons as above. I think her smile has a little something extra in the second shot.

  4. That's a great picture of Tricia! I like the one on the right.

  5. Lovely pic - I like the one on the right too.

  6. I totally thought the picture on the right was sephia. I really like that one!

Thanks for stopping by!
